This is a magnificent Brahminy Kite photographed on a visit to the beach at Djurranalpi Outstation on Elcho Island in July 2008. I took this photo using a handheld telephoto 70-300 mm lens (450 mm at 35mm) at its extreme range and that is the reason why the picture is not sharp.
These are a spectactular shots! Birdlife on-the-wing is so hard to catch - and these are perfectly exposed.
