Remember him?

Remember this man? Someone still does as the sign on the outside of a unit is still up 8 months since the election which he and his government lost! Photographed in Coogee, Sydney, in June 2008.

Coogee surf

A wave crashing onto rocks at Coogee beach, Sydney in June 2008. I like how the light lit up the scene. There were storm clouds in the background and the sheets which look like light beams are actually rain squalls. A very dramatic sight!

Ocean beauty

I took this photo on a flight from Brisbane to Cairns just north of Brisbane in July 2008. The view from the plane was stunning, with perfect light to show off the sandbank. Just incredible. On the left is the deep ocean and on the right is the end of the shallow water and the sandbanks. The dots are waves and the longer streak is a boat! Click on the image to enlarge it and really enjoy the extraordinary perspective. I shot this using a Canon compact camera IXUS 860 IS.
