More Hoi An Highlights

Here is the second shot of Hoi An at night. The colours are more natural and the picture is sharper, probably because I used a faster shutter speed. The technical details for this one is: photographed with A Nikon D80, 36mm lens, 0.2 seconds. f4.5, ISO 800, matrix metering and the exposure was set to shutter priority.

Hoi An highlights

This photo of the old part of Hoi An in Vietnam was shot at night in March 2008 on An Hoi Island from across the Thu Ban River. I took two photos that came out very differently. This one I prefer for the orange colour cast which gives it a warmth and vitality, but the next one is I think a technically better shot. Not sure why they came out so differently. The technical details for this one is: photographed with A Nikon D80, 36mm lens, 0.769 seconds. f4.2, ISO 400, matrix metering and the exposure was set to shutter priority. Hoi An is a beautiful town and in real life this vista was truly spectacular.
