The small town of Collector outside Canberra is famous for its annual pumpkin festival. here are pumpkins dressed up as scarecrows to keep the birds away! I photographed this in .. where else but Collector, in May 2008

Rustic fence

A lovely rusty and rickety tumbledown fence at the cemetery in the small town of Collector, between Goulburn and Canberra and which we visited in May 2008.

Collector graves

Tombstones in a cemetery in the small town of Collector, between Goulburn and Canberra and which we visited in May 2008. I have a soft spot for cemeteries, imagining the lives of the people interred there. Isabella Cartwright was born in 1803, over 200 years ago. Her life would have been unimaginably different to mine.

Expired cemetery sign

This sign looks as if it is on its last legs. It is at the entrance to a cemetery in the small town of Collector, between Goulburn and Canberra and we visited there in May 2008.
