A sea of clouds

Lots of beautiful fluffy clouds taken on an aircraft somewhere over Queensland in February 2008.

adorable puppies

We saw these puppies in a pet shop window at Bowral, in New South Wales in January 2008. While Therese was oohing and aahing I went inside and took this shot. I like the expression on the dog's face and how Therese in the background is looking at them. An unusual composition, shot into the light but I am very happy with it. I had to shoot it at an angle to get it all in and I focused on the puppy on the left as I couldn't use a flash because of the glass. F2.8, ISO 100 1/60 of a second and te lens was 28mm.

ugly duckling

This picture of a baby duckling was taken on January 2008 morning in Hay, New South Wales. Despite its tiny size it moved surprisingly quickly and it took several attempts before I was able to get it in focus.
