These women were in a shop off the street sewing. I asked if I could take their photo and they graciously agreed. How old is the sewing machine, or is it just an old design? Taken during a visit to Kawthoung (Victoria Point) in Burma (Myanmar) in December 2006.

Talented tailor

We met this woman outside her friend's print gallery. I asked if I could take some photos and she said yes on condition that we look at her shop. Ok. We went over across the road to her tailoring shop. Turns out she previously worked at Yanis and was now venturing out on her own. This was her first day being open for business. We became her first customers and I had five shirts and two suits made up and was very happy with the result. I highly recommend her.
