Rainbow Bee-eater
This is the beautiful Rainbow Bee-eater (Merops ornatus) photographed in Kakadu National Park in June 2008. It is a small bird but fortunately stood still long enough for me to get a photo. It was in a tree in the South Alligator River at Gungurul.
