Darwin storm

A storm put to sea off the Darwin Esplanade in February 2008. I love the wet and the rain, although the humidity takes a lot of getting used to.

Ocean skies

These were taken from an aircraft in February 2008. We crossed the coast on a flight between Brisbane and Darwin some were near the Gulf of Carpentaria. The monsoon clouds were stunning as was the blue ocean beneath us with islands scattered here and there. It is very hard to photograph out of a plane due to dirt on the windows, reflections etc, but hopefully these two pictures give you some idea of how special it was.
