This photo of the old part of Hoi An in Vietnam was shot at night in March 2008 on An Hoi Island from across the Thu Ban River. I took two photos that came out very differently. This one I prefer for the orange colour cast which gives it a warmth and vitality, but the next one is I think a technically better shot. Not sure why they came out so differently. The technical details for this one is: photographed with A Nikon D80, 36mm lens, 0.769 seconds. f4.2, ISO 400, matrix metering and the exposure was set to shutter priority. Hoi An is a beautiful town and in real life this vista was truly spectacular.
