This Indonesian man on the island of Lombok lived in awful poverty. Home was a hovel of thatch atop a steep hill next to a telecommunications tower above the Sheraton Senggigi Resort and he eked out a living selling bananas. But he seemed happy, especially when I lightened my own load by giving him a 50,000 rupiah for so graciously letting me photograph him.
