I love this one. I took it in Mataram, the capital of Lombok, an island in Indonesia, in March 2005. Taken from the food court of the local shopping centre, it shows the juxtaposition of McDonald arches and the town's main mosque. I guess the food must be Halal. McDonalds is not a place I frequent, for they don't do tofu burgers, but this one was full with pious Mataram burghers. The mountains in the background are spectacular. One day I hope to return and climb them.
