Metro 23 at Maningrida
This is a Fairchild Metro 23 twin turboprop passenger aircraft that is used by Airnorth on its Darwin to Galiwinku service. I have lots of opportunities to photograph this, as one pilot called it "pencil of death," as I travel on it every 2 weeks or so. I especially like this picture as it give the impression that the aircraft nose is tilting to the right. This photo was taken in June 20008 at the Maningrida airport.
