Lest we forget

These two photos are of the Darwin War Memorial on the Esplanade. Darwin was bombed in World War II and was the front line for the Americans and Australians fighting against the Japanese advances in south-east Asia and the western Pacific. If you are a military history buff there is a lot of history and relics and memorials to see and reflect upon. Photos taken in July 2008
