The Canton Tower
Canton Tower, formerly known as Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower (Guangzhou Ta in Chinese), is an observation tower near Chigang Pagoda, Haizhu, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It was topped-out in 2009 and became operational on September 29, 2010 for the 2010 Asian Games. The tower is the tallest tower in the world, replacing the CN Tower at 553 m in Canada. I took these photo in June 2009. It is a beautiful structure, elegant and timeless and very dificult to photograph because it is so tall! With these photos I tried to give a sense of scale by conluding the buildings around it.
